Contracts

A handshake is usually enough.

Sometimes the venue wants it written down. You make the contract from the gig, so the date, the fee and the contact are already in it. Download the PDF, or send it from the app.

What it does

Templates for a normal gig
Date, venue, fee, when you get paid, what happens if the gig is cancelled, and who is responsible for what. Use one as it is, change it, or start from a blank page.

Change any part
Add a clause, drop a section, rewrite a sentence, switch the language. It should say what you actually agreed.

Hang it on the gig
Link a contract to a gig and the date, place and fee come with it. Link it to a contact and it shows up in their history. One, both, or neither.

Keep the file they sent
The festival already sent a PDF or a Word file. Import it and put it on the gig, next to the ones you wrote yourself.

PDF or email
Download it and send it yourself, or send it from the app. It goes out from your band's own address.

Other agreements
A licence, a sponsor, something that isn't a date in the calendar. Those can live here too, with no gig attached.

How it works

  1. Start a contract. Pick a template, or a blank page.
  2. Check the names, the date, the fee and the terms.
  3. Attach it to a gig, a contact, both, or leave it loose.
  4. Download the PDF, or send it from the app.
  5. It stays in nGage, on the gig or the contact it belongs to.
Templates

The built-in ones cover a normal gig: date, venue, fee, payment, cancellation, and what each side is supposed to do. Fine as they are, or as a start.

Editing

Every part can change. Add a clause, throw a section out, rewrite a sentence. Don't keep a line you never agreed to.

Gig and contact

Attach it to a gig and the date, place, fee and the contact already on that gig are filled in. Attach it to a contact and it shows in their history. A contract can have one of those links, both, or none.

Their contract

The venue sent their own file. Import the PDF or the Word file and put it on the gig or the contact. Then the ones you wrote and the ones you received sit in the same place.
