Drive Links

Your cloud storage, inside your band app.

Sheet music in Dropbox, recordings in Nextcloud, contracts somewhere nobody can remember — nGage.band brings it all together. Connect your existing cloud storage and browse, upload, and share files from within the app.

Your files stay in your cloud. nGage just gives you a single place to access them.

What it does

Connect Dropbox or WebDAV
Link your existing Dropbox account or any WebDAV-compatible service — Nextcloud, OwnCloud, or a Hetzner Storage Box. Multiple connections per band are supported.

Full file manager in the browser
Browse folders, upload files, create folders, move, copy, rename, and delete — everything you’d expect from a file manager, without leaving the app.

View files directly
Images, PDFs, audio, and video can be previewed directly in the browser. Text and markdown files can be edited too.

Share files with a link
Create a public share link for any file or folder — with optional password protection and expiration date. Shared folders can allow uploads from outside the band.

Multiple connections
Connect a personal Dropbox, a band Nextcloud, and a Hetzner box all at once. Each connection has its own name and can be restricted to a specific folder.

How it works

  1. Go to Linked Drives and click “Add Connection.”
  2. Choose Dropbox (OAuth login) or WebDAV (enter URL and credentials).
  3. Give the connection a name and optionally limit it to a specific folder.
  4. Browse, upload, and manage files just like in a regular file manager.
  5. Share a file or folder via a link — with password and expiry if needed.

Supported services

Connect Dropbox via OAuth (no credentials stored), or any WebDAV-compatible service: Nextcloud, OwnCloud, Hetzner Storage Box, or any other WebDAV server. Multiple connections of the same type are supported — for example, a personal Dropbox and a band Dropbox side by side.

Your files stay in your cloud

nGage doesn’t copy or store your files. They remain in your own cloud storage — nGage just provides the interface to access them. If you disconnect a service, your files are untouched.

Sharing

Create a shareable link for any file or folder. Add a password for sensitive material. Set an expiration date for temporary shares. Enable uploads on a shared folder so others can drop files in — useful for receiving recordings or photos after a gig.

Viewable and editable formats

Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG), PDFs, audio (MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, FLAC), and video (MP4, MOV, WebM) can be previewed directly in the browser. Text files (TXT, MD) and HTML files can also be edited in the browser — no download needed.
