Messaging

Send internal messages

You probably use WhatsApp or Signal or other services like that. Should you wish, you can also use nGage.band for internal messaging, and link directly to relevant files, songs, setlists and so on. Nothing fancy, but very useful!

What it does

Send chat messages that stay within your nGage.band account
No tracking, analysing, external servers and security issues. Keep everything inside your own system!

Push messages
Just like any other chat app, you can choose to receive push messages in your android or iphone app when someone sends you a message. The nGage.band system uses this internal messaging app too for notifications, for instance when a recording has finished uploading, or a song analysis is completed.

Internal tagging
You can tag your bandmates in any text throughout nGage.band. Taking the Voltage Drifters as an example; if Mara wants to tag Tom in a rehearsal, she can type:

"The rehearsal is at @tomreeves place" and the @tomreeves bit will be converted to a link to Tom Reeves internal profile page (that has his address on it) and Tom is notified of the mention and can check out the rehearsal.

How it works

  1. Open the top-right dropdown menu
  2. Select Messaging > Chat
  3. Chat as usual
Rider Sharing
